During my internship at Majlis Perbandaran Taiping (MPT) in the Valuation & Property Department, I organised and digitised municipal property records, processed property assessment documents using Google Sheets, and proposed digital solutions such as SharePoint to improve manual record-keeping systems. I also conducted site inspections and supported public inquiries, which strengthened my attention to detail, adaptability, and understanding of government record-keeping.
Cons
One challenge I noticed was the reliance on manual record-keeping systems, which sometimes slowed document retrieval. This experience taught me how to identify process improvements in a real-world setting.
