Pros
Flexibity of scheduling (if you’re a good employee)
Pay (if you’re a good employee with a good higher up who oversees you)
Cons
The only real positives about this company are the flexible scheduling and the decent pay. Aside from that, almost everything else falls short. A lot of employees stay simply because they’re comfortable/feel secure with their positions. Let’s be honest, people who should’ve been let go a long time ago are still around. Teamwork is basically nonexistent, and it often feels like you’re completely on your own. A lot of the times you need to ask the same question multiple times before you hear back from anyone.
The owners are laid-back I guess, you never hear from them. Which I guess could be another pro? But like the whole “family-owned” vibe they try to push is just for show. Honestly, it doesn’t even seem like they like each other.
Procedures and rules are all over the place. What you’re told depends on who you ask and when you ask,and you’ll usually get multiple different answers. There are clear layers: retail staff, managers, and then the top-tier group like RMs and the CEOs. Few of them offer helpful direction, while others ask questions you’d expect someone with that much authority to already know. Majority of them just don’t seem like they even want to help. The brothers of the ceo’s are probably the least friendly and the most demanding. And yes they are “employees” in the highest rank. But if you asked me, I don’t think they’d qualify in the real world. Might be fake nice to you, that’s about it.
Expectations are unreal but I think it’s because they don’t know what it truly takes to run one of their stores on a day to day basis.
Always changing prosecutes or adding additional steps for who knows what reason.
Depending on the location, the compensation can be very good. But ultimately, you have to decide if the chaos and inconsistency are worth the toll it may take on your sanity.
