I had a very short and disheartening experience with the NC Education Lottery. Less than a month into the job, I was abruptly let go with vague reasoning that I “wasn’t a good fit”—a decision that felt more personal than professional. From the start, I felt singled out and unsupported, and the workplace culture seemed to tolerate discrimination rather than address it. Communication was poor, training was lacking, and there was no genuine investment in employee success. If you’re looking for a stable, respectful environment where you’re treated fairly, I would advise looking elsewhere.
