Volunteering with NDLB enabled me to give back and support an organization that fights tooth and nail to rescue dogs from the unimaginable and horrific dog meat trade while also allowing me to gain invaluable experience on canine behaviour and handling. Most rewarding was the sense of fulfillment achieved from knowing that you made a difference to the survivors given a second chance and that you were an integral part of their journey to a better life from intake to adoption. NDLB solidified my desire to advocate for the voiceless and continue on the path of animal welfare. For that, I am grateful to both the organization and the animals within it.

Every day feels meaningful knowing that the work contributes to saving animals and finding them loving homes.

As with many nonprofit organizations, resources can sometimes be limited, which may require team members to wear multiple hats and adapt to changing priorities.
