Pros
Excellent community involvement. Satisfaction of helping others find housing and maintain stability. Learning opportunities for community engagement and homeless services.
Cons
Management is nonexistent and the CEO refuses to accept that HR and management are corrupt. Does not practice what they preach. Everything is for show and making the company look good. There's no support for staff. Almost 100% staff turnover in less than one year. Again, HR/management is punitive and just terrible. Couldn't order the supplies I needed. Micro managed but never supported when I needed it.
There will always be growing pains with grassroots nonprofits, but PCHO simply refuses to accept their flaws and brushes them under the rug.
