I had a great team of teachers who I got along with.

Teaching demands a great deal of work, patience, and preparation. Unfortunately, the monthly salary I received didn’t reflect the stress, time, and effort I dedicated to the role. Working Monday to Friday, from 10 AM to 7 PM, I never earned more than €1,300 per month. This made it challenging to make ends meet, especially in an expensive city like Paris. It was a sentiment shared by many of my colleagues at the school, who were open and vocal about facing similar struggles.

We understand how important financial stability is, especially in cities where the cost of living can be high. For teachers employed under a part-time CDI, working hours and corresponding compensation are based on the contractual percentage and the volume of lessons scheduled within that framework. Depending on individual availability, programme types, and seasonal demand, earnings can vary, and we recognize that this may not always match personal expectations or circumstances. We continuously work to offer clarity around schedules, workloads, and earning potential so that teachers have a transparent view of what a part-time role entails. We also offer optional professional development pathways that allow teachers to progress and increase their compensation as they take on additional responsibilities or specialisations. We sincerely appreciate your contribution during your time with TLC and will continue strengthening our communication and support so that current and future teachers have a clearer understanding of the structure and opportunities available to them.
