Pros

HED has one of the best work cultures I’ve seen. Managers trust you to do your job and don’t micromanage. They really care about their employees and understand that we all have personal lives. The company is very supportive and helps you maintain a good work-life balance. It’s a great place to work where you feel respected and valued.

Cons

Being remote can sometimes make it harder to feel as connected as in-office employees, especially when it comes to spontaneous conversations or visibility. However, the company is aware of this and is actively working on ways to include remote staff better through team meetings, check-ins, and company-wide events.

Pros

The firm itself was about average. Nothing great, nothing too awful.

Cons

The marketing "leadership" was incompetent, harassing, micro-managing, toxic and completely unprofessional, focusing on minutia rather than addressing actual business-related issues that needed addressing. As a quarterly "treat", they would critique one of your proposal submissions and literally point out everything they did not like about it, from image choices, to color palette, to wording. They would grade it, mark points off despite never having read the client RFQ to know whether or not the submission was compliant or not. the entire exercise was mean to be demeaning and degrading. No one, that I can remember, ever received any kind of compliment on their work.
