Nothing positive to note really.

Pros

Location is central (but the building isn't owned by them).

Cons

[Too much; there might not be sufficient space or bandwidth to fill.] The management is weak in operations (so they hired some person to handle that aspect now, hopefully, to gloss over past mistakes). They do not offer employees the benefit of the doubt and any room for improvements, despite their claim for workplace equality. All change must align with their preferences – answer on time to the President, cover backs and cover negative reviews or feedback from external channels, and kill all opposition. They segregate staff they "do not like": so much so, there is a threat to fire people by talking to the ostracised staff. Management style: fear.

Pros

Colleagues who bonded through adversities and dictatorship

Cons

-Total lack of trust between top management and Secretariat staff, which led to major interference in daily operations by ExCo, which is really ridiculous. -Approved protocol and processes are all thrown out of the window as decision making is dependent on the mood of one person. -Blatant favouritism and the 'preferred' staff can get his/her way, regardless of whether there is budget or not, regardless of whether it is fair to other departments, regardless of how other staff will think, regardless of whether it is really required or not - Performance appraisal done by HOD is useless as grades will be changed by top management who only interacted with certain staff but has the power and authority to determine the final grading of the staff. Bonus quantum is not transparent and objective, as again, it is dependent on the views and feelings of decision makers, who show blatant favouritism. Totally new definition of what Performance Bonus is about. - Toxic culture that encourages office politicking and rule by fear. Lots of conspiracy theories that creates unnecessary friction and difficulties in working with external parties. -Totally no respect for Secretariat's time and work-life balance - toxic and rude WA messages and emails can be sent at anytime of the day (regardless of whether it is after office hours or weekend), and IMMEDIATE response is expected. -Turnover is so high that it is unbelievable. New hires leaving within short period tells a lot about the working environment .So many HR managers have left and HR is now outsourced. This is such a joke.
