Typical Gov Work - Hydrologist Idaho Department of Water Resources Employee Review

Field work, water rights issues, interaction with water users across the state, great benefits, promotional opportunity, my own office with a window.

State government job, not as much science as I'd like, more of a power meter reader guy. 8am-5pm. Kinda low pay.

Great culture, management is usually pretty supportive and understanding, great work life balance. Benefits are also really good.

Pay could be better, moving up the ladder doesnt happen as fast as it would at a private company, and occasionally dealing with angry and hostile members of the public
