Cons
If you are not Dutch then it is quite likely that you’re being underpaid if you work at this organization in AMS. The company attracts many expats thanks to the 30% ruling purposely offering low salaries and thus taking advantage of foreign talent that is unaware of the conditions on the Dutch labor market. After this scheme comes to an end, you may be told if you’re lucky, they had made a mistake in the past as they are afraid to let you know. Dutch employees are in general better paid than foreigners. You may be +15 years at this company and still earn less than employees that are not even 30 yr (and have been not even 2 yrs at the company). Besides the 2% increase on a yearly basis, it’s nearly impossible to get a properly salary correction. If your job titles changed then there’s some room for salary increase. The way the company is divided makes in terms of how the markets/countries are divided make it hard to figure out which HR colleague to contact. HR wants requests via a portal to have them all centralized and it often happens that you’re misinformed and that mistakes are made on your pay slip whereby the employee must critically review it (working from home allowance & working from the office)
