When you reference the entity that is Corizon Health and our front line staff, I am unsure if you are referencing your immediate management team or the Healthcare Support Team, so I will respond on the basis of your immediate management team.
You are correct there should absolutely be communication between management and staff. We regularly stress that communication is key. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
I am unsure where you called to report a discrimination claim, however a call of that nature should be routed to the Human Resources department or to the Director Operations over the site. A follow up call should be placed if a name/number was provided for a return call. Many times callers call in anonymously thus not enabling us to provide a follow up call.
As far as staffing, we feel confident in our staffing matrices based on our 30 plus years’ experience at over 400 facilities. Each contract has a contracted staffing plan based on the RFP, should either the client or Corizon Health see a concern with the staffing plan they may make a recommendation to make an adjustment.
However, we do encourage staff to escalate their concerns to site management or even regional management if they feel a staffing change is warranted while keeping in mind that any change requires client approval.
Thank you for your time and your feedback.
Sincerely,
Heather Dale, Employee Relations Specialist
