Pros

Cons

Currency Capital formerly known as IMCA Capital has changed their company name several times and when you ask questions no one gives a real answers. It's a red flag any time a company changes their name no matter if it's for "re-branding" or not. They promote a lot of "fluff" to employees and to clients. They are not truthful when it comes to how payments are set up for clients for equipment deals. They tell AE's base pay is between 24k-36k which everyone starts at 24k base. Which is basically poverty especially in California. They expect 200-300 outbound dials a day. They have nothing special to offer with expecting that amount of work ethic. They make you feel bad for leaving at 5pm and they say you don't have to work on weekends but if you don't the managers make you feel like you did something wrong but not dedicating your entire Saturday. I would hit almost 200% every month for quota and make maybe $400 in commission after splitting it with a Sr. AE. I had to pick up another part time job and almost never saw my friends and family on the weekends.

There are several points in this post I need to address. 1) Our Rebrand. Our national branding company we hired to rebrand our company for the first time clearly communicated the vision at our annual meeting in Palm Springs. This name reflects the evolution and growth of our company and better represents our cutting edge technology platform. The excitement and pride for our new brand has been overwhelmingly positive by our employees, customers and vendors. 2) Integrity. We are a very transparent organization made up of the highest quality Account Executive's and Leadership Team. Our repeat business is among the top in the industry which is the biggest compliment to the integrity and character of our team. 3) Compensation. I recently received an email from an AE that just completed his 1st year. He thanked me for this tremendous opportunity and wanted me to know how this has changed his life. He was living with his parents when he started and he now lives in one of the coolest condo's in Scottsdale, he earned six figures, achieved his Car Bonus, bought a Tesla, promoted to Team Leader and is working with 2 new AE's, earned his way onto our "jumbo" inbound lead flow working with companies with revenue from $10mm - $100mm. This is only one of many success stories I could share. 4) Work Ethic. Yes, building a sales career is not easy. Our most successful AE's are all incredibly gritty (a lot of college athletes and one Olympian), coachable (strong desire to grow and be challenged), intellectual horsepower (multiple Ivy League grads and other top Universities). We have developed a platform for you to compete, be challenged and grow. If you are willing to put in the effort to build your business, the rewards and career growth will follow. Contact me directly at my email address and I'd love to talk to you. Thanks. Jered Takeuchi, Executive Vice President jtakeuchi@currencycap.com
