Pros
Great casual atmosphere. Very family oriented - any and all time needed to take care of family is usually granted. One employee was able to work remotely from another location to spend time with a terminally ill grandchild. Other employees have capabilities to work from home or bring children to office. Management is willing to teach new skills an mentor new positions to elevate employees - to a point. Flexible hours.
Cons
With it being a smaller office, the personal relationships seem to be more important than the actual work. Department managers are hard to work with. AR supervisor is never in the office and hard to communicate with. AP supervisor is a micromanager, extremely condescending and frequently uses public humiliation or intimidation to "drive" the department. The G/L supervisor lacks personal confidence which causes her to push out at least one employee every 6 months after she decides they want her job. The company controller plays favorites making it hard to progress within the company. Benefits are laughable - too expensive and it covers next to nothing. Salary is set when hired and there are no annual reviews. Don't expect a raise in salary unless you work for the warehouses.
