Pros

All of these super positive reviews are being commissioned by upper management. That is the first thing you should know about Spartz, and I think that gives a pretty good idea of the company's priorities. That said, Spartz isn't the worst place to work. The people are nice, for the most part, and the work is easy. The office space has an industrial vibe, and lots of fun touches to make it a fun place to work. CEO is really nice, but sometimes is too much of a "bro" / pal when he needs to be a boss.

Cons

There is a lack of communication between the different tiers of employees. Work often feels chaotic because things aren't communicated in a timely matter. The work is mostly mindless, and consists of repackaging content found on other websites in a way that isn't copyright infringement. There isn't a lot of original thought, and Spartz is very concerned about it's public image. The pay is also well below industry standards for most positions.

Pros

- The best part of Dose has and always will be its employees. The majority are headstrong, creative, fun and good at what they do. - Excellent benefits package - Fun company events - Opportunity to push yourself and play in many different roles across the organization, since the company is so small - Unlimited PTO - There is finally a direction and unique offering for the company, which has helped create some stability. More people are hired into roles that they will actually perform, unlike in the past

Cons

- Upper management has always been a mess, is stifling and prioritizes an inner circle. It's created a toxic work environment for many that is detrimental to mental health. Often feels like no one can do the work better than upper management. - The company has tried to pivot to The Next Big Thing in social media like a teenager going through phases in middle school, ending in lay offs, a lack of transparency and identity crises - Employees are overworked, underpaid, and undervalued - Lots of turnover and no hesitation to fire people leads to distrust and a "what's today's drama?" mindset, covered by an excuse like "our company and social media just moves too fast"
