Cons
Some jobs can be difficult to get to, but I would work out my nearest public transport stop and arrange to get picked up by the client. A test-drive is part of the sales contract, so this constitutes the test-drive. Don't forget, the client wants to sell so they will pick you up (as long as the distance is reasonable). Drive to their place and complete the inspection. Also, contact the dealer and have them agree to drop you back at the nearest rail station as part of their test drive. They want to buy as much as the customer wants to sell. Book your train tickets through a split ticket site to save money, allow plenty of time.
