      Works around childrens school

      Cons

      No hoilday pay for ESA No benefits Poor discipline system Left to deal with violent and aggressive students due to colleges view on funding and keeping the funding rather then disciplining the student which leaves staff to pick up pieces Wages are exteremly poor well below the basic living wage due to no holiday pay. If children are poorly and need to stay at home do not get paid Wages are awful due to monies given to pay management wages Working parents stay away you will struggle even more

      Pros

      Staff are generally quite friendly and supportive. Student behaviour is much better than other FE institutions. Pay is decent.

      Cons

      Management is awful. You are answerable to data that is inaccurate and outdated. Staff are overworked and struggling. Management is inconsistent and unstable. Concern of staff wellbeing is performative. Nothing is done when issues are raised. Feel underappreciated, overworked. This is felt across departments with permanent staff on long term sick leave due to stress in several areas. Diversity is horrendous.
