I have been working at Eminata Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

There is a lot of flexibility with working at home or in the office. Ability to set your own schedule and work with minimal supervision.

    Cons

Benefits are the lowest of anyone I know, they give you the minimum of everything (vacation, sick time, etc). They don't cover your health care or MSP and don't offer any RRSP matching or bonuses of any sort. They haven't given raises for 2 years in a row. The value system is a joke, no one (as far as I can tell) really believes in what we're doing. A lot of practices are a bit shady. Management has no business training and goes back and forth between strategies. They've expanded too fast and are now cash-poor and can't pay bills.

Current Employee - Legal Instructor in Edmonton, AB

I have been working at Eminata Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I have been working for this company as a Legal Studies Instructor for the past 3 years. I have over 28 years of experience in the legal field and truly enjoy not only the teaching aspect, but working with the team at one of the Edmonton campuses. I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a job this much. The Director is absolutely amazing. She is fair, hard working, and very compassionate. I have fun every day, and I get to do what I love doing best, which is transfer my knowledge to aspiring/transitioning adults. Many of our students have landed excellent jobs in their field of study - that is, those who have really put in the time and effort. As employees, what we put in, also reflects what we get out of it. When you have passion for what you are doing, it doesn't matter where you work. You will find the silver lining!

    Cons

A little upgrade to the computer systems could assist the fluency and cause less distress for students AND employees
