Pros

ssentia was my first full-time role in recruitment. Not only did I hugely enjoy my time there, but it was a major factor in my decision to choose recruitment as a career - one that I am still enjoying today almost five years later. There are two major plus points of joining Essentia - the first is undoubtedly the platform it provides hungry, ambitious recruitment consultants, across all seniorities and experience levels, to excel. The mentoring I received there was first class, and I often draw on experiences and lessons I learned there to provide solutions in my current business. The second is the culture. Being a small firm, the camaraderie amongst the team is absolutely fantastic - something essential if any sales environment is to be successful. Outside of the office we would socialise and often went on trips away together, and I remain good friends with several ex-colleagues. A true 'work hard, play hard' environment, with a leadership team that works hard to get the best out of each individual. In conclusion I can’t speak highly enough of my time there, or of the team – and I would thoroughly recommend them to anybody who is serious about a career in recruitment

Cons

Recruitment in general will always have it's challenging elements - what is vital is to have a team and environment that help push you through those parts to the rewarding aspects. Essentia provides that and more

Pros

I worked at Essentia for nearly 2 years and struggle to find too many positives, but three do certainly spring to mind. Firstly, I joined primarily due to their client base, which is 1st class if you want to work within Professional Services, many of whom have been on the books for years. Secondly, and as a first role in recruitment, it does teach you the fundamentals to be a solid recruiter and I do still use those tools today. The ones that do manage to stick with it and push through for over a year have gone onto some very reputable firms which I suppose is testament. The caveat being I don't believe many, if any, of those 'mentors' are still there. Finally, some of the guys have become true friends and often did and still do go out for some beers after work, but keep it on the down low the next day.

Cons

Seeing 12 people come or go over my time says it all. - My way or the highway culture - don't think or have any ideas during working hours. - If you like being micro-managed then this is the place for you. - 1960's style management. Although I do hear the above are changing ever so slowly.

Pros

I had the chance to be part of the essentia consulting team for 6 months. It has been a great experience for me and I advice anyone looking for a relevant internship to apply for this job. Specializing in recutment, you will lead all the process starting from the identification of potential candidates for vacant posts in technological and financial organizations. You will launch into the selection of the most relevant CV considering the formation, skills and experience and will conduct interviews to assess the compliance of the candidate to the needs of customers companies. They are really keen to give you responsabilites if you work with confidence, motivation and smartness. I was surprised to see how quickly they integrated me, specially as a foreign guy. It’s quiet uncommon to be able to bond with teamates that easily. Essentia Consulting represents that king of place where you can evoluate in a good working atmosphere to give one’s all to one’s work. Everything depends on you : more results means more benefits for you and the company. All the conditions are made to be proud your job.

Cons

Nothin to say about it
