Pros
A few decent supervisors. You'll start off at a little better than minimum wage in the plant, even if you don't have a high school diploma.
Cons
Most of the office management are completely clueless about how manufacturing works. They are trying to put out high quality doors with substandard equipment, there is no quality control so every department is battling each other, safety violations abound, they are skinflints when it comes to repairing/providing necessary tools, they treat their employees like crap....Turnover is very high due to the poor working conditions, poor pay, non-existent training, and the persistent view of the management that experience/know-how aren't important . Moral there is horrible. Massive amounts of overtime are required for large parts of the year and other times you can't even work full-time, but for extra fun you generally don't know which days you'll have off or weekends you'll have to work till the day before (even around the holidays.) The they like to brag about how our cabinets are in these gorgeous expensive houses and how much profit the company made, and then go on lavish vacations regularly, but the actual workers and supervisors who keep the company functioning are expected to put in ridiculous hours with barely any benefits or vacation hours.
