Pros
Exiros is the procurement arm of the Techint Group, a large multinational engineering company in the oil & gas sector. Exiros is owned 50/50 by Tenaris and sister company Ternium, incorporated in Luxemborg, and functionally based in Buenos Aires Argentina. Tenaris is a global leader in tubular steel technologies and products while Ternium is one of the largest flat steel producers in the world. The global experience is one of the best reasons to work within the Techint group. There are many opportunities to grow and advance in your career, travel the world on short-term or expatriate assignments, learn new languages, attend corporate university, develop your expertise, and work with some of the most intelligent and skilled management.
Cons
Depending on your background, the "Tenaris-Way" as its known can have some frustrating downsides. Simple processes and procedures within the firm can often be overly bureaucratic and time-consuming. The 'latin-culture' of the company which permeates into every region can sometimes conflict with norms and standards in countries like the United States and Canada. Simple processes are often too formalized, and processes that should be formalized are often too unofficial and informal.
