Pros
Free snacks, breakfast on Monday & Wednesday & lunch on Tuesday. Random games around the office, open door policy, beer on Friday.
Cons
Workers are spread thin after the layoffs, management expects one person to balance three jobs and have the same results. Supposedly unlimited PTO, but you're expected to work every day on your vacation regardless. People get promoted because they are good at their jobs, not because they'd be good in a managerial role. There's no training offered for promoted management... there's barely any set training for new- hires. HR is a joke, user experience sucks; there's massive pay disparity in gender, same roles, and let's not forget favoritism. There's a lot of male-on-male inappropriate touching in the office, but it's chalked up to 'normal because sports.' The meaty bits- the company has a mass disconnect of communication, because there's no direct form of it. JIRA and Confluence are a joke, inappropriate emails are sent to the entire company offering housing, fantasy football drafts, alerting of newborns, and sometimes bullying staff. The one mass email that held weight (i.e. sexist pay gaps) was shut down quickly by management. There are massive issues in the company because it's every team for themselves- every department operates in their own bubble with little-to-no cross pollination, and it's often that teams are hindered by others not hitting their goals, or just not doing their jobs. Management sets unattainable goals every quarter, relying on it's workers to scramble and create a band-aid solution to appease to the board members. The company is literally held together by rubber bands and bubble gum. There's no clear direction, management claims the company is transparent, but rest assured it's opaque as hell.
