Pros

-My sweet fellow coworkers -Being able to help others

Cons

Recognition for hard work was rare, and opportunities for growth or advancement were frequently mentioned but never followed through on. At times, I also felt that my personal beliefs were met with unfair judgment, which contributed to an uncomfortable and discouraging atmosphere. Constructive communication and genuine support from management were limited, making it difficult to feel valued or secure in my role. Overall, it was a disappointing experience that left me feeling taken for granted rather than respected as a dedicated employee.

Pros

SOME of the coworkers are kind and passionate about natural wellness. Some of the customers are also great.

Cons

Unfortunately, this job became emotionally and psychologically exhausting. I worked at the Pleasantburg location. Over time, the workload kept increasing without proper support or pay, and when I voiced concerns or stood up for basic ethical issues (such as the use of endangered herbs), I faced subtle but powerful backlash. After months of trying to hold things together (I counted the store's money and did numerous essential tasks for the business), I panic-quit following what I now recognize as a deliberate push-out. When I tried to apologize for how I left and come back the next day, I was met with a prepared line: "Payroll is too high." It was clear that decision had already been made behind my back. What hurt the most was the sudden shift in how I was treated by people I thought were my friends. I went from being supported to being excluded, gossiped about, and painted as "mean" for simply asking others to do their jobs correctly. This smear campaign seemed intentional - and was fueled by a manager who, in my experience (and apparently others' as well after looking on this site), acted manipulatively and spread misinformation both during and after my employment. Put simply, if you are at all different, spiritual, or neurodivergent, you will be persecuted here until you implode.
