Pros
Since I joined Groundspeed in the middle of 2019, the amount of growth has been immense for both the company, me, and my peers. The rate we are scaling at opens up a huge vault of opportunity for almost any professional from sales to analytics to frontend engineering to machine learning. There is a role for everyone and so much to learn. Recently, the support from senior management has improved greatly, especially in the operations department. You will likely read a lot of reviews that have a negative outlook on this team. That feedback was taken to heart and an overhaul of the operations organization has drastically improved company culture. Groundspeed also reacted swiftly and effectively with the COVID-19 pandemic, sending every employee to work remotely indefinitely in early March. Senior management continues to come up with new and innovative ways to keep all of us connected to one another including cooking classes, happy hours, and murder mystery parties!
Cons
The company is scaling at an incredible speed, which leads to a high energy and fast-pace work environment. This may not be ideal for everyone as your job title/responsibilities have a tendency to change every 4-6 months. There is also a lack of diversity within senior management, while diversity throughout the rest of the company is quite strong.
