I worked at Hanwha Group full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Although not the biggest and most prestigious financial institution in Korea, the company still went a long way and developed into a higher tier firm during the last couple of years, especially after HQ acquired Prudential Asset Management and merged it into Hanwha Trust Management. A good starting point if you plan to establish yourself in the financial career and move on to more prestigious institutions later.... Location is the 63 building:) Strong corporate culture.

    Cons

The same thing that transformed the company into a bigger player (i.e. merger of/with Prudential Asset Management), transformed the company from a more informal one with a "family-like" atmosphere, into a more rigid, formal, less fun environment. Very homogeneous (all Korean) despite former attempts to make the firm into a more "global" environment with more foreign staff.

I have been working at Hanwha Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great Benefits.. paid Health Insurance/Dental. Eye care re-reimbursement plan. Subsidized lunch. (trust me you save a lot when calculating) Good office environment with great people. You become part of the Hanwha family. Excellent product. Great building which includes a cafeteria, Starbucks, Marriott Panchetta and Glenn bar, gym,/pool ping pong, meditation, yoga, and MORE. Raises, bonuses, and room for... promotions. Note: Please make sure you see the correct division and location on reviews as this specific division and location of Hanwha Techwin America is excellent. I see other reviews that are not great but those are different divisions and locations.

I worked at Hanwha Group full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Pay is fair, good colleagues, clean facility

    Cons

Non-paid overtime for salary employees, language barrier between Korean managers and Americans employees, work-life balance, culture differences.

    Advice to Management

Please understand employees are happier and more efficient when they have a good work-life balance. Let them enjoy their time out of work. Do not contact them while they are on vacation as you should have other employees who can take care of things while people are out. Staying late does not equal to working hard.
