I've spent many years at Iowa Student Loan and can honestly say it is a great place to work for anyone interested in a smallish company with a big mission to serve Iowans first. The industry continues to be dynamic and more market opportunities will grow nationwide. Yet ISL is led by Iowans who believe in creating a family-friendly work culture where caring for customers mixes with understanding for life within local communities. Really incredible benefits package and above-average pay, too. Personally, I am thankful to pursue new career path while balancing work and additional education, which ISL supported financially. I don't think this interest in personal and professional growth happens everywhere.

It is a tough, competitive industry with dynamics coming from many areas. The stability of the work team helps face the unknown market elements with excitement. Best suited for employees who embrace change and continuous improvement while seeing a bigger picture of how ISL's products and services fit market needs better than most. Every job and role is important and self-motivating attributes are key.
