Pros

Lead a team. Can progress to higher roles if you have the right manager supporting you.

Cons

Long hours, early starts, late finishes, can be required to work a lot of hours at short notice. Don’t always feel appreciated. Expected to cope with hardly any labour

Pros

Friendly and supportive team environment. Managers were approachable and flexible with schedules. Good training provided, especially for first-time retail workers. Fair pay for the role and clear procedures. Opportunity to develop customer service and teamwork skills.

Cons

Work could be repetitive, especially during quiet shifts. Early morning or late night shifts could be tiring. Limited progression opportunities for seasonal workers. Can get very busy during holiday periods. Short employment period – not much job security.
