Pros

*You would be working for a good cause. *Good health benefits.

Cons

*Obvious showcase of favoritism. *They do not promote from within, and on the rare occasions that they do, it's for the same few people (mainly managers promoting other managers). *Unpaid overtime--and sadly It is expected for employees to work HOURS past their set hours everyday. *High turnover rate (especially their sales department). *Management has been known to take away any previously approved PTO if the company does not make their sale's goal for the month. *False promises from management. *Their computer systems are outdated-- making it difficult to work efficiently. *They do not have a set training program, so hopefully you have a friendly co-worker who is willing to show you how their systems work. *Management is extremely unprofessional.

Pros

The best part about working here is the equitable culture. To some (who don't even understand the difference between conservative, liberal, progressive/left) relative lack of privilege and coddling feels oppressive I suppose but it's almost entirely the reason why I enjoy working at Lingraphica and continue to do so. Other companies may pay more but Lingraphica has unmatched culture & transparency so far and it feels like you're on the same team as everyone else instead of fighting each other. At the end of the day it's still a for-profit company but I (among many others) haven't taken other offers precisely because it actually feels good and meaningful to work here, and it's impossible to put a price on your soul.

Cons

Nothing major, management can get shifted around often and that is disruptive, there could be more focus on integrating engineers into research & less AI hype, and a smaller company isn't going to pay like Raytheon but that's a good thing tbh

Pros

For the most part, everyone is a delight and the workload is manageable. The work-life balance is encouraged. Benefits are vast and affordable.

Cons

Company structure is constantly changing leaving employees questioning its viability. Favoritism is flagrant and new job openings are written for specific employees/friends to obtain. Promotions are only given to those in the clique. HR encourages feedback and claims it is anonymous but if you speak of anything negatively, you are immediatly blackballed. HR talks about great culture and diversity but their neurodiversity policy only applies to some and not all. If you try to speak to HR confidentially, you will hear bits of your conversation discussed elsewhere.
