Cons
I've been at Loot Crate for over two years now. This place has gone from an exciting place to work, to a place that has layers and layers of management who don't really seem to know what their role is. They started another round of layoffs at the end of 2016 rolling in to 2017 (They did the same thing last year). Technology They come off to the world that they are a tech company, but that couldn't be further from the truth. Their technology is held together by chewing gum and scotch tape. Sales Sales have slipped to the point where the board is calling into question upper management. I don't know...maybe stop wasting money on frivolous things? Also, where did all these former Mattel employees come from? Seems as everyone of them has a manager role but aren't very good at it. I'm not sure how the CEO can justify spending all this money on Mattel salaries when sales are tanking. I'd love to be in the boardroom for that discussion. Staff For the most part, the staff cares about the work that they do. Many people work long hours and try their best to ensure that the customer experience is a good one. However, many people are tired and morale is at is lowest. Most people are worried about their jobs to the point where some people have already started to look. Product Currently there are over 13 different crate lines with more on the way. While I can appreciate diversifying and introducing new product, they need to slow down and focus on their core competency. All you are doing is shifting customers rather than acquiring new ones. OK..back to my resume, I need to get out of here.
