Great opportunity to make money doing something that matters. Renewals!! I have been in the insurance industry for 25 years and this is the first company where I am building substantial renewal income. Proven sales track to help TRAINABLE new hires come up to speed quickly.
Cons
I am so glad the negative reviews were not out here a year ago when I was looking at Medigap360. I would have missed out on a marvelous opportunity and the exact position I needed to finish out my career.
Over the past 5 years this company has really evolved into a great place to work. The current management structure is is geared toward internal professional and personal development allowing for employees to move up in the company relatively easily. The In house insurance training & sales training programs are comprehensive but not oppressive or preachy and have increased production substantially.
Current management is supportive and even handed. The work environment is supportive and pretty much everyone gets along well.
I don't know much about compensation for other types of employees but since starting here I've been able to build a sizable renewal income. So compensation is very fair.
Here is my list of general pros:
Decent first year commissions
Renewal Income from existing clients
Company pays for your licensing/certifications
You are paid during training for all positions
Caters chef prepared lunch for employees daily
Health and Dental Insurance
Life Insurance
Long and Short Term Disability
Additional Prescription and Dental Discount Program
Flexible hours for established agents
Cons
If I was writing this review back when I first started I'd have more to put here but as of the past year its been pretty great. There are a few things though.
Traffic to this location can be a headache especially for people living in South Austin.
There is no PTO for people who are Agents as they operate off of Commission only.
Training & Licensing/Certification are very detailed and can take a several weeks.
Ability to move into higher paying positions is dependent on ability to pass insurance exams.
Slow income ramp up time so you're not going to walk in making $100K.
