      Pros

      There are many good points about working for Midcounties Coop. They do try to look after their employees as this leads to their colleagues looking after the customers. they give everyone the opportunity to improve their knowledge and education. This in turn leads to happy customers, who will come back often.

      Cons

      Compared to most large companies, not too many complaints. Mostly staffing reductions due to market difficulties at the present time. This can lead to people feeling over worked and stressed.

      Pros

      I love working with the public. To wish them a "Good morning Sir/Madam, how are you this fine day?", just to try to lift their day makes mine.

      Cons

      Standing. First time in retail and not used to this.

      Pros

      - Easy shifts - Higher than minimum wage pay - Decent holiday pay

      Cons

      - Mostly 1-1 shifts, no matter the gender - multiple contracts with multiple businesses, so you're expected to do delivery picks, Evri drop-offs and pick-ups, bakery work, etc. - 0 opportunity to advance further (at least if you're in food retail)
