Pros
This is a smaller company which allowed employees to be more invested in the company's success. Departments and staff are a bit smaller, which fostered a sense of pride in one's work. The organization did provide a good work-life balance due to being a smaller business at the time. Remote work is available in most departments.
Cons
The organization can improve company morale and employee appreciation. VPs, leadership, and management aren't great at demonstrating appreciation toward middle or lower-level employees. The reward for hard work and commitment is scarce; loyalty is not the company's strong suit. Although their mission statement perceives one thing, it is difficult to determine if that is true to their nature. There was potential working here at one point, but that soon became a figment of imagination. The most unfortunate aspect is that VPs, leadership, and management were zealous to care after those with likeability rather than work ethics. It became personal rather than professional. As the company grew, most departments remained the same size - leaving employees to take on new responsibilities without proper compensation or be stretched thin. There will be the likelihood of an increased workload than desired which will negatively affect the work-life balance the organization initially presented at the start of tenure.
