Pros

You get paid, benefits as in medical is ok

Travel reimbursement very low under .25 a mile Micro Managed 40 hours a week is a slow week, 60+ hours a week with no overtime straight pay only Leadership is lowest ive seen NIT as a whole company with Health and Connect is by far the worse company I have ever worked for. Their leadership is so unrealistic and all they care about is billing their clients, the quality of the work they don’t care about and customer service is very low. All they want to do is bill the client and move on to the next billable project they can do. I have never seen more techs quit in one week. NIT will just hire 30 clueless people at once. and use them as long as they can or until their employees leave them They say they are IT Specialty Company, but only a handful is really technical, and most of them quit after 4 months. I was miserable with the company after 1st week and was finally able to move on to another real position; I even have my own desk and a PC now. Some days they will have you do nothing all day, you won’t learn anything and they change their policy constantly, they don’t know what’s going on. Stress level is extremely high they make you work 40+ hours day & night and weekends, if you are an hourly employee you will get straight time, no overtime is available. Travel constantly and reimburse your mileage at .22 cents a mile, only from client to client. So if you live in Sandy hook NJ and they need you in Catskill NY that day that 60+ miles you just ate, though they will pay you if that day you are at Catskill and need you at another site, you can get reimbursed for the mileage from Catskill NY to wherever they send you. Total waste of time, gas and wear and tear on your car. Stay AWAY from NIT HEALTH and NIT CONNECT, id be shocked if they are still in business a year from now. Very shady company

Pros

NIT Connect knows it's stuff, with a team of real experts in help desk operations and IT support. It's a great place to work if you want to learn how things should work in the ideal world. The team at NIT Connect is awesome and I love coming to the office every morning to learn from great people with great skills. We're at the business of making clients happy, and typically people call when they have an issue. I think that one of the best things about NIT Connect is that the team is very professional and is able to solve issues quickly. Overall, great place to work.

Cons

People contact the help desk when they have an issue and they are not happy. You have to deal with people who want a solution now and don't care that it takes time. But this is the case in any IT help desk.

Pros

NIT is one of the best companies in the IT world, if you're looking for a fast growing, learning environment with plenty of growth opportunities. I think that NIT definitely delivers when it comes to compensation and promotions. I've been working with NIT Connect for the past three years and loved every minute of it. I think that management really does the effort to identify the high performers and incentivize them with fast track promotions and comp. Also colleagues are great, with high team spirit and great team work. You always know that they have your back when you need it.

Cons

It's working for a service company, which is different than working in an IT department in a company. Contractors need to bill hours and deliver projects, which sometimes tend to result in more hours at the office.
