Pros

Good discount on nice jewelry. Lots of creative energy. A few friendly employees (when they're not on the defense). Other than that, not much.

Cons

Heather Nashelle (CEO) is artistic and creative, but needs constant reassurance from the people around her (staff included). Very moody, emotionally unstable, and lacks taking responsibility for anything. While employed at Nashelle, I saw a lot of blame-gaming, drama, and dishonesty. The owner/company is not at all who/what they appear to be on social media. Way more concerned with people's image of her than the reality of what is happening with the company.

Pros

Unfortunately, during my time with Nashelle I didn’t experience many positives regarding the workplace itself. My jewelry making team was outstanding though!

Cons

•Jewelry studio is very out of date. There are tools and equipment that has been broken or has not worked correctly for years prior to my employment almost 3 years ago. Making jewelry in that studio is time consuming and difficult because there is no support from ownership to get what is needed to do the job correctly. •Owner has a focus on retail over production. If you are a creative and a jeweler, do not waste your time applying. The owner puts a much greater emphasis on the retail aspect of the job, giving compensation to her “store girls” while completely forgetting who is making the jewelry they’re selling. She has no respect or understanding of the skilled trade of jewelry making. Her knowledge and understanding of jewelry beyond retail is nonexistent. •Not only does she have no jewelry making experience, the owner is extremely unprofessional and off-putting. She treats her employees poorly. Her management style is autocratic; however, there is very little efficiency when she is involved. Her team tends to do most of the heavy lifting, without her acknowledgment or appreciation. •Wage is not fair for the skilled trade of jewelry making. The retail employees, with commission factored in, make more than the highest paid jeweler. This is not industry standards, and frankly insulting to those who have dedicated lots of time learning the skills needed.
