Pros

Amazing people, 100% sure you’ll meet great people and have fun with them. The product is THE BEST. Team activities are fun.

Cons

In a nutshell, if you are willing to have a less-than-thrilling work and take your below-mkt paycheck, you’re fine. The job is not that hard, and there’s no encouragement to do more. You’ll not be punished if you do the bare minimum, but will not be rewarded if you go beyond. You can easily arrive at 9 and leave at 5, take your lunchtime, hang out in the office. Motivation lasts for the first 2-4 months, and then you’ll realize it’s better to join all the other demotivated people and start looking for a better job. You’re a slave of your position, you can’t do, create, or try anything different if it is not explicitly demanded by your superior. Just do what your boss asks, and you’ll be fine. Odoo is best for: - Inexperienced people, who are willing to have 1st experience - People who don’t want to work hard - People who want to get into sales and then get a real sales job If you do not fit in any of these buckets, find a company that respects people. Benefits are not that good compared to other startups

Pros

Wonderful people, interesting product, good way to build experience at a reputable company. Working hours are not bad at all and I rarely feel overwhelmingly stressed. I am truly thankful for this chapter of my life no matter where I end up down the road.

Cons

Very poor lead quality and lead distribution is a mess. Often is very much luck based which can be discouraging and hard to feel like you're getting enough opportunities to live up to your potential. There is a lot of disconnect and chaos within leadership which is common at a quickly growing international company and it doesn't bother me that much but I see many other people really struggle with it. There isn't a ton of clear opportunity for long term career advancement within sales or other departments based out of San Francisco so there is a lot of turn over which is sad to see.
