Pros
The people. The people. The people. During my time at Psychemedics, the team atmosphere was so much of what made the work exciting. Collaborating across departments to design products that would truly be useful gave everyone a tremendous sense of purpose and ownership.
Cons
While management mostly offer a good deal of autonomy, when the micro-management bug hit, it hit big. Be ready. I gave the president of the company a thumbs down due to his insanely conservative fiscal ways, but aside from his continued reduction of benefits he mostly didn't affect the day to day.
