Pros

First off, I'm writing this review because Glassdoor is forcing me to, to be able to use their site. Take what I say with a grain of salt because I last worked there late 2020 and things may have radically changed. I worked as a freelance Production Coordinator. They are very organized and I was happy to see diversity initiatives on set; a rare move, from my experience in the commercial world.

Cons

HoP Frank was a control freak and tyrant. I understand he is very knowledgeable and runs a tight ship. But I was so afraid of making the tiniest mistake-- not having memorized every single page of the Production Guidelines as a FREELANCE coordinator who works with so many companies. Any slight deviation would result in an immediate condescending text, email or phone call. Therefore I hesitated on every move, causing me undue stress, and many unpaid extra hours of labor as I triple checked everything I was doing. And anyone who has worked in freelance production office knows how fast things move and how little time you have to do that kind of BS. Instead of Radical and freelancers working TOGETHER to build a great product, Frank reigned with fear to deliver perfection, putting an enormous amount of stress onto me as a freelancer. Also Radical is notoriously stingy, outdated rates for PAs, harsh restrictions on small comforts freelance Production staff (like working meals). A very bad look. I've coordinated on many commercials, nonunion and union, and seen all manner of mistreatment. In Freelance Production you are overworked, underpaid, and under appreciated, and everyone accepts it because it is the industry norm, and it's commonplace for companies take advantage of freelancers. However I have never had a worse time than at Radical nor felt compelled to write a review before.

Pros

Supportive environment that allowed for growth.

Cons

None related to the company itself. The role requires mostly at desk work while other departments allow for onsite project work.

Pros

Nice and easy location to get to and a bright space.

Cons

Other than IT which is great, technical staff is one amazing person who is stretched thin. The head of HR is great, the day to day stuff is not. Loads of passing the buck. Have to be in office when there's no need to be in office. And being nice is held higher than doing well.
