Pros
Mentoring program when I started was professional and informative. My mentor was skilled, approachable and helpful.
Cons
In the nearly 3 I worked for SGS, they managed to trim way down benefits like PTO (they took away 40 hours of time off that I had accrued with no warning, just a change in the handbook we were notified of after the fact and too late to do anything about), the handbook was changed constantly, QA's were constantly demoted to MT's and every year there was a new manager of the department I worked for. SGS then imposed nearly impossible to meet minimum line count quotas and slow work flow, which happened frequently, made no difference in being penalized for not meeting the quota - being threatened with termination and not being allowed to accrue PTO. The answer to that was to either work longer hours or take on more accounts. It was difficult to get a clear answer to any question regarding account specifics. I was told to "review account specs" so I would apply the specs then still be told it was wrong but could not get a clear answer as to what was wrong.
