Pros

Ping Pong and Beer Party (once a month)

Cons

“World Best” Practices are at display in TeraGo - Office walls have become weak over time as senior management loves banging them - Best on the job “Swearing” training being provided by management to employees - "HR” role is to play a role of lucky mascot wearing “ORANGE” dress at every company event, collecting "Phony" external HR awards, tagging along on exotic sales excursions, and distributing “gift cards" to employees for writing fabricated good reviews on social websites & praising management in employee engagement surveys - Management is an expert in art of “mismanaging” the business and very focused on their bonus and compensation payouts than business growth. They regularly displays art of making up stories, hiding the core areas and beating around the bush during company’s townhall meetings

Dear Poster, I am sorry you are dissatisfied at TeraGo. It is clear you are not getting what you need and I am happy to work with you to address your concerns. You mentioned your concern surrounding the growth of the business. If you take a look at our results, our total revenue increased 22% in Q1, compared to the same period a year ago. That’s on top of our strong results in 2015 as a whole, including posting our highest revenue for a year....ever. Also, in the last four years, we have completed no less than three corporate acquisitions, and built or bought seven data centers. You asked for growth, you’ve got it! The future has never looked brighter. As always, all of these results are publicly available on our website for anyone to take a closer look for more detail, which we encourage you to do. I hope this provides you with some clarity surrounding your concerns about our growth. You also mentioned the HR Team’s involvement in planning our annual sales achievement award, President’s Club, which recognizes our top Account Executives of the year. Each year, to recognize exceptional results, President's Club recipients along with our CEO and Vice President of Sales, are treated to an all-inclusive weekend away, at a fabulous location somewhere around the world. This is a huge incentive for our sales team, and helps to drive the record results we have been seeing year-over-year. The HR Team takes great pride in leading the planning and execution of this event, ensuring our winners enjoy a safe but inspiring event. We are actually very privileged to work closely with all of our teams, on the various incentive programs we have in place at TeraGo, including the monthly Pubs and the ping pong tournament you mentioned! It is because of all this great work that TeraGo is routinely, legitimately, recognized as one of the top tech employers in Canada. I have to admit, we do use some colourful language around here, from time to time. We’re a passionate bunch and that seems to come with the territory. Perhaps a swear jar in the hallway isn’t a bad idea. We can donate the proceeds to one of our favourite charities. We regularly provide employees with free days off to volunteer at various places, so this would line up fairly well. I do have to disagree with your comments surrounding our solicitation of fabricated reviews for both this website, and the employee engagement survey. Absolutely, we would love it if all 200 of our employees posted their positive experiences on Glassdoor or in a survey! Who wouldn’t? However, we recognize that not everyone likes putting their thoughts and feelings out there, and not everyone’s thoughts and feelings are positive 100% of the time. And you know what? That’s okay, as long as they’re getting the help they need. I’d actually prefer it if employees approached me directly with their hopes, dreams and concerns so we can fix any problems that have arisen, and work to support them to achieve their objectives This is why we have established a number of different programs, many of which are confidential, where employees can honestly and candidly provide feedback to us. These programs include our annual Employee Engagement Survey (which is managed by an external vendor, and 100% confidential), annual Stay Interviews (where we meet with all employees once per year, 1 on 1, to ensure they are getting what they need from us and TeraGo), the anonymous suggestion box in the kitchen etc. As you can see, our employees have many venues through which to express themselves, Glassdoor being just one of them. As always, I am happy to chat in person. Feel free to email, call or drop by if you would like to discuss this further, and take me up on the opportunity to provide more feedback. Regards, Denise Roy Director, Human Resources P.S. As you mentioned, I do, occasionally, wear an orange dress. I happen to like it. Orange is a great colour on me.

Company culture of entitlement without accountability. However with new management appears to be changing in the right direction.
