Pros

No brick and mortar so you can set your own and and work at your pace.

Cons

Many "hidden" costs in FDD. Costs include monthly Minimum Royalty, all kinds of unwarranted fees and super high transfer fee relative to overall cost.

Pros

Because Transworld operates as independent brokerages, it’s hard to fairly assign a rating to the company as a whole. Brokerages are typically small and independently operated so the culture and work environment will vary greatly from one brokerage to the next. Corporate leadership was always great in my experience. Local brokerage leadership is a mixed bag depending entirely on which broker you’re working for.

Cons

Most brokerages operate primarily with agents as 1099 contractors so there are few W2 employees. This means for those few employees they lack policies and systems in place for any benefits - basic things like sick days or PTO, healthcare etc. They typically offer nothing but again it depends on the brokerage.
