Pros

Best cabinet refacing product on the market, if you need to go that way.....

Cons

Can be as expensive as new cabinets, but much less demo and down time.

Pros

This was a great company to work for. I started as a sales rep and was able to move to a marketing position in a few months. Management and co-workers were great and even though this is a very large company it has a very family feel to it. The experience that I received in this position was greater then anything else I received at this company.

Cons

The biggest downside is that this was an hourly based position, which isn't bad if it was truly a 9-5 job. but I worked between 8-10 hour days but was not allowed excessive over time. The other issue was more of an annoyance and I hope that it has changed since i was there but every email we sent had to be looked over by upper management before it was sent out. The issue with this is that there was 1 man managing all the marketing reps for the entire country so emails that need to be sent out asap wouldn't get sent for a day or so. Lastly near the end of my time at USR my job description changed by additional duties every week for a few months, however, our pay was never added to. I have always been under the impression that when you gain more responsibility you should also gain more pay.

Pros

Good training program, fairly well scripted presentation, good commission base, good district sales managers

Cons

Production screws with the commissions by giving away stuff ... which actually comes out of your commission. 12-14 hour days six days a week and approximately 1000 miles of driving per week with no mileage reimbursement. Corporate management rides the area managers but don't seem to care about misspelled words or bad grammar in marketing material. Products are easily 20-30% higher in price than local providers. Have to work in the stores even though you don't get paid for it. Even though we are Home Depot employees, we have no access to Home Depot websites. 100% commission with no reimbursement for mileage. Very poor leads from outside lead generators that make promises of "free" stuff and other BS.
