Pros

VGN is one of the well-established real estate developers in Chennai with decades of experience and a solid reputation. Most projects are located in well-connected and fast-developing areas, which is a major advantage for customers.During my internship, I gained first-hand experience of how a real estate organization functions from an HR and business perspective. Learning Areas Human Resource Practices: Observed recruitment, employee engagement, and training procedures. Sales & Marketing Insights: Understood how real estate projects are marketed to customers, including site visits and client handling. Administrative Functions: Learned documentation, coordination, and office management practices. Customer Interaction: Gained exposure to how queries, concerns, and follow-ups are handled professionally.Skills Developed Improved communication and interpersonal skills by interacting with employees and clients. Learned the importance of team coordination and organizational culture. Acquired practical knowledge about HR applications in a corporate environment. Enhanced problem-solving and adaptability while working in a fast-paced real estate sector.

Cons

Workload Fluctuations – Some days may be very busy (site visits, events), while others may feel less engaging. Learning Curve in Real Estate – Since real estate is a niche sector, understanding industry-specific terms, sales processes, and legal aspects takes time. Departmental Exposure – Focus might be more on operations/administration, with fewer opportunities to explore advanced HR analytics or strategic HR practices. Customer-Driven Pressure – Being in a real estate environment, employees often work under sales and client deadlines, which can create stress. Limited Use of Technology – Compared to IT companies, HR tech tools or automation might be less advanced, so exposure to digital HR systems may be limited.
