Pros

None, potential employees will be better avoiding this sort of management style.

Cons

I wish I could give Minnect, a subsidiary of Valuetainment, a zero-star rating. Working here has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel compelled to warn potential employees about the toxic culture that permeates this company. One of the main issue at Minnect is the blatant exploitation of employees. From day one, it became evident that the management, particularly the narcissistic management-style of Minnect's Chairman and Co-Founder Thomas Ellsworth aka The Biz Doc, has little to no regard for the well-being of its staff. Thomas Ellsworth does not leave you better than he finds you as he claims in his mantra. Ellsworth seems to thrive on overworking employees and pushing them to their limits, all while dangling unfulfilled promises in front of their faces. Thomas Ellsworth is the embodiment of an inconsiderate manager. There is no consideration for employees' personal lives or work-life balance. He consistently ignores the basic needs and concerns of the workforce, creating an atmosphere of fear and anxiety. The lack of respect for employees is appalling, with Ellsworth often dismissing valid concerns as insignificant and not worthy of his attention. The promised opportunities for growth and advancement within the company are nothing more than empty words. Employees are lured in with the prospect of career development, only to find themselves stuck in dead-end roles with no support or guidance from the management. It's a classic bait-and-switch tactic that leaves dedicated workers feeling deceived and undervalued. Furthermore, the overall culture at Minnect is toxic and demoralizing. Colleagues are pitted against each other, fostering an environment of competition rather than collaboration. The lack of transparency in decision-making and communication exacerbates the toxic atmosphere, leading to a sense of mistrust among the team. In conclusion, Minnect, under the leadership of Thomas Ellsworth, is a company that thrives on exploiting its employees and partners. The toxic work culture, coupled with broken promises and a lack of respect from management, makes it a place I would strongly advise anyone to avoid. Save yourself the stress and disappointment by looking elsewhere for employment.

Pros

You will be working on “big ideas”

Cons

First and foremost this is a sales organization. Everything is sales - including your day to day. You have to dress a certain way, look like you’re working at all times (which means being at your desk at all times) and always espouse the company propaganda. The amount of gossip, spying and paranoia at this company is unprecedented. Whether or not you are good at your job, have any idea what you’re talking about or have deep industry experience is irrelevant. It’s all about appearances here. Any questioning of authority or direction results in you “not believing” and being shut out. It literally is a corporate cult. When you interview ask them what their one year turnover rate it is. IF they tell you, remember they truly believe all of those people “didn’t have what it takes” and the organization can do no wrong because they are brilliant.
