      Pros

      I enjoyed working 2nd shift in the computer room when the company was still headquartered in Bedford Park. It was close to home and would have stayed had they not outsourced to IBM.

      Cons

      Company outsourced their I.T. to IBM. They got off the AS/400 and their processing needs went to SAP on network servers. Management was not very good and the money could have been better. My job at Viskase was eliminated before the year 2000.

      Pros

      Good company to learn Interesting processes Was contempt with my team

      Cons

      They still prefer male management Plant manager is a joke Management would prefer someone that is a sucker rather than a hard worker There is a huge gap between the pay of man and worker Operators that are loyal are not given any support from HR when needed Difficulty to grow
