A behavior therapist’s day is always varied, full, and engaging. The work follows a clear structure and process while each day differs depending on your client’s needs. Be prepared for fun, fast-paced days!
Core therapy provider
Behavior Therapists spend most of the day conducting individual, 1:1 therapy sessions with their clients. Those sessions are directed entirely by the therapist and provide opportunities for developing core, foundation life skills by learning through play and social interaction. Therapists record their client’s progress in those sessions to ensure that is communicated to the broader team.
Collaborator
As a part of Soar’s integrated care model, Behavior Therapist or RBTs overlap and participate in sessions with our Clinicians (BCBAs, OTs, and SLPs) on a daily basis. These provide meaningful opportunities for learning, collaboration, and care coordination key to client progress.
Group learning facilitator
Our unique care model allows for group learning opportunities for clients that mimic the learning a young child might experience in preschool, including centers, art, and circle time. Behavior therapists work collaboratively together to implement these learning experiences for small groups of clients throughout the day.
Parent and caregiver partner
We care deeply about providing meaningful engagement with client families and care providers. Behavior therapists play a key role in developing and sustaining those relationships over time through daily reports to families at pick up and drop off, plus engaging in ongoing family support meetings.

Kick start your work in Soar’s unique care model through intensive training and onboarding.
