I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in Jan 2010
Interview
Applied online. 4 weeks later, got a call from recruiter to set up interview with hiring manager. 1 hr phone conversation. Job was for an operations role. Interviewer asked me about my background, experience and team management experience. At the end, he asked about my operations experience (I had minimal direct operations experience). 4 days later, the recruiter emailed to say that they were moving on with other candidates. The experience was relaxed, friendly but probing.

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Dublin, Dublin) in Mar 2026
Interview
Very positive experience. The down side was there were 6 rounds of interviews in total but they were scheduled close together. Communication was excellent and a huge amount of helpful resources provided to you to help you prepare.
Phone interview. Asked 4 typical question. The Amazon phone interview was structured and focused on behavioral questions using the STAR method. The interviewer was professional, asking about leadership principles, past challenges, and decision-making. It felt fast-paced yet conversational. I shared clear examples from my experience, highlighted results, and ended confident I demonstrated impact and fit.
