Cisco Systems IT Engineer Interview student candidate

Posted Mar 12, 2012

No Offer – Interviewed in Oct 2011 – Reviewed Mar 12, 2012

Interview Details – I met Cisco recruiters at the job fair at my university. After looking at my computer science qualifications, they immediately scheduled me for an interview for later in the week. Two people conducted the interview, and I was alone in the room. They asked questions such as "What are your goals in the internship" "What is your ideal workplace?" and "Please tell us more about the programming projects that you mention on your resume." Overall they were friendly and curious about me.

Afterwards, they said that my resume would be sent off to HR for further review, and that I would receive an email or phone call giving me more information. Within 2-3 weeks, I was notified by email that I was not offered a position.

In all, I'm not surprised because although I'm fairly skilled in high level coding languages and web development, my prior experience was pretty weak.

Interview Question – What would you do in a situation when one of your coworkers is not doing his work?   Answer Question

Other Details - I applied through campus recruiting and the process took a day.
