The process is long and drawn out. I applied on-line several times. Applying for any one position is limited to once per six-months; if more than one attempt is made the applicant is automatically disqualified. I did meet briefly with a manager while I was a subcontractor on site and sent him my resume. In addition, I worked on the UHPW production system as a subcontractor so I was eminently qualified to transition over as a GlobalFoundries employee when my contract with the design/commissioning firm ended. In spite of being understaffed and desperate for more hires - there are only 12 people and the system manufacturer recommends 24 - I was not hired and was told that more qualified applicants were being sought.
