      Interview

      Apr 4, 2012
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Charlotte, NC
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

The process took 2 days. I interviewed at TIAA (Charlotte, NC) in Jan 2011

      Interview

I was interviewed in person 4 times and on the phone once. I intereviewed with the entire team that I would be working with, including some outside managers. I was contacted by a talent acquisitions manager in San Francisco, who was slow to get in touch and let me know what was going on. I drove up to Charlotte (about 75 miles), on four separate occasions and was never reimbursed for anything. The campus is impressive, the people were fine, but they were slow to keep me in the loop, and really did not seem like they actually cared about me as a person. Of course I would have accepted the offer had it been given (depending on compensation), but they ended up hiring an internal candidate.

      Interview

The interview process included an initial HR screening, followed by several technical rounds and a final discussion with the hiring manager. Each stage was well-structured, and the interviewers were supportive and encouraging throughout.
