Pros

With the current economic crisis, a large bank like RBC is one of the last places that provide a modicum of job security.

Cons

Corporate bureaucracy. In large corporations, there tends to be a lot of red tape, undue process and overhead. Also, when working with such a large number of diverse people, there is apt to be a fair amount of incompetence.

Advice to Senior Management

The current trend of late at RBC is to show little regard for building or maintaining Employee loyalty (incentives are declining, outsourcing and contract work is increasing). This is a bad idea, as you are losing and will continue to lose all of the best people.
