    I worked at RBC Insurance

    Pros

RBC is a strong company financially. Generally, the people in the Greenville office are terrific to work with. The home office is in a beautiful facility, and benefits are good.

    Cons

The parent company is not committed to growth of the insurance company in the United States. The U.S. home office has been troubled by weak leadership at the top and within the distribution channels..

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The U.S. operation has some terrific talent, but you need to get the right leaders on the bus, and get the wrong leaders off!

I worked at RBC Insurance full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

It's a large company with good benefits and salary. Bonus was good and it was given every year. Didn't have a lot of overtime and hours were flexible.

    Cons

There were a few difficult people in charge of areas that made it difficult for others working there. A lot of office politics.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper management need to get rid of the managers that are ruining the work environment for most of the rest of staff. Waiting for them to retire isn't soon enough. Certain people can fake having people skills when required but really don't care about the rest of the staff.
